Studying at L’Idem

While she was in high school, a teacher recommended L’Idem as a college to train her as an animator. After talking to students at the school, Run yin Zhu decided to enroll in the Animation program. She finishes her first year of studies, how does she value this experience and how does she approach the second year of training? She tells us about it

RUN, HOW WAS YOUR FIRST YEAR AT L’IDEM?

It has been a very satisfying experience despite the challenges presented by the situation arising from Covid. It has been a course full of new experiences.

WHAT DID YOU THINK YOU WERE GOING TO LEARN WHEN YOU ARRIVED AND WHAT HAVE YOU ACTUALLY LEARNED?

The truth is that the course went just as I had imagined it would. If I had to highlight something it would be that I had a much better time  than I expected and the atmosphere was very pleasant.

WHICH SUBJECTS HAVE YOU ENJOYED THE MOST?

I have really enjoyed the drawing, fine arts and animation drawing classes as it is what I like to do the most.

ARE THERE ANY PROJECTS THAT YOU HAVE PARTICULARLY ENJOYED?

The project I liked the most was the free exercise for two reasons. Firstly, for the simple fact that it has allowed me to experiment without restrictions. And secondly, it has given me the opportunity to apply the knowledge acquired during this course to a personal exercise.

OF THIS FIRST YEAR, WHAT DO YOU VALUE MOST?

On the one hand, I value the knowledge I have gained during these months, and on the other hand, I value the fact that I have met my classmates. On the other hand, I have met my classmates and made new friends!
