Studying at L’Idem
After a friend’s recommendation, Jin contacted L’Idem Barcelona to find out about the Animation degree offered by the school. It was at the 2020 Open Day when she decided to study at our school. How has she experienced her first year of studies? What does she consider she has learned in these months of work? What are the subjects she has enjoyed the most? We invite you to find out the answers.
HOW WAS YOUR FIRST YEAR AT L’IDEM?
For me it has been a good experience. I think I’ve taken advantage of the classes, I’ve worked hard and my evolution has been positive.
WHAT DID YOU THINK YOU WERE GOING TO LEARN WHEN YOU ARRIVED AND WHAT HAVE YOU REALLY LEARNED?
Before starting I analyzed the academic program of the first Animation course and I was clear about what I was going to learn. The result has been as expected.
WHAT ARE THE SUBJECTS YOU HAVE ENJOYED THE MOST?
The subjects I enjoyed the most were organic modeling and storyboarding.
IS THERE ANY PROJECT THAT YOU HAVE PARTICULARLY ENJOYED?
The project I enjoyed the most was the free one for two reasons. First, for the simple fact that it has allowed me to experiment without restrictions. And secondly, it has given me the opportunity to apply the knowledge acquired throughout this course to a personal exercise.
OF THIS FIRST YEAR, WHAT DO YOU VALUE THE MOST?
I value the level of demand that there is in the school. You can really see the improvement you have made in just one year.
IN WHAT AREAS WOULD YOU LIKE TO GO DEEPER NEXT YEAR?
I would like to continue working on 3D modeling and animation drawing.
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO STUDY AT L’IDEM?
A friend recommended the school to me. I looked at the curricula, as well as the academic program and the subjects we were going to work on, and it caught my attention. And after visiting the school during the Open Day last year, I made up my mind.
THE LAST QUESTION: WOULD YOU RECOMMEND L’IDEM TO SOMEONE WHO IS THINKING OF STUDYING ANIMATION?
L’Idem is a good school whose priority is to prepare students for their professional future. For this reason, the level of demand is very high. If you are willing to work as hard as it takes, you will come out with a very good technical and artistic level.
