Graduated in L’Idem
After finishing her higher education, Maryna wanted to specialize in Graphic Design. And she didn’t hesitate to enrol at L’Idem to take the International Master in Graphic Design that we offer. In this post she explains how her experience at the school has been after an intense year of training.
WHAT IS DESIGN FOR YOU?
Design is one of the many ways to communicate in aestheticall way.
FROM YOUR POINT OF VIEW, WHAT ARE THE ESSENTIAL CHARACTERISTICS OF A DESIGNER?
I don’t think there are some fixed characteristics. Every person is different and have their own process, flow and taste.

El sector del Diseño ofrece muchas oportunidades! En L’Idem nos introducimos en muchas especialidades como la publicidad, la animación, el diseño editorial, el 3D y la realización de vídeos, entre otros. Y salimos preparados para ofrecer soluciones y propuestas innovadoras a toda clase de retos profesionales.
IN WHAT WAYS DO YOU THINK THE DESIGN SECTOR HAS EVOLVED SINCE 2020?
I think the pandemic has marked a turning point in many areas. In the design sector, for example, companies have seen the need of a good quality digital presence. And this has led to an increase in demand for digital profiles like ours.
ON A PROFESSIONAL LEVEL, WHAT ARE YOUR SOURCES OF INSPIRATION?
Literally everything: voices of the people, spilled coffee, design of the shoe boxes, logos, architecture, human body… Endless options!
AND FINALLY, WE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHERE YOU SEE YOURSELF IN A FEW YEARS’ TIME.
I would like to have an art residency for all kinds of artists. And this year I’ve started to move towards this goal: I’ve opened the Widlik art gallery in the centre of Barcelona.
