WHERE DO YOU CURRENTLY WORK?
Now I work as art director at Territory Influence. Agency that offers influence marketing solutions for brands such as Adidas, Samsung, Nestlé or Audi, among other clients.
CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROFESSIONAL CAREER AFTER STUDYING AT L’IDEM?
After L’Idem I quickly found a job as a web designer at Uhura Digital. Agency based in Berlin that was in charge of creating websites for projects like Berlin fashion week, Total Deustchland and Banken verban. It was a great two year experience! Then I decided to move to Barcelona and worked as a freelancer for several clients until I started in my current position.
WHAT IS DESIGN FOR YOU?
A way of explaining oneself through visual elements. A way of conveying messages or emotions.
WHERE DO YOU THINK THE SECTOR WILL EVOLVE?
The advertising industry is currently facing major challenges. It is undergoing a very rapid transformation due to digitalisation and social media. Therefore, the aim of any project will be to offer more and more personalized content and experiences, and not so much a certain product. Design has an important role to play in this.
FROM YOUR POINT OF VIEW, WHAT ARE THE ESSENTIAL CHARACTERISTICS OF A GRAPHIC DESIGNER?
Be creative, passionate, curious, methodical, organized.
WHAT ARE YOUR SOURCES OF INSPIRATION?
Mainly everyday life in the city. Barcelona and Berlin are very inspiring cities for me.
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO STUDY AT L’IDEM?
When I was 13 years old I started making web pages with a very basic software called Front page. Little by little I acquired more skills and started to create visuals with Adobe Photoshop. After discovering that this was what I wanted to do for a living, I decided to learn more so I could work on something I love.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR TIME AT THE SCHOOL?
It was a great four years experience, where I lived in a relaxed and motivating environment.
WHAT WOULD YOU HIGHLIGHT FROM WHAT YOU LEARNT AT L’IDEM?
L’Idem offers a complete training that fully prepares you for working life, from creative aspects to more technical aspects.
FINALLY, WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN A FEW YEARS?
At the moment I have no plans to change jobs, so in a few years I see myself in my current company (where they take good care of us ^^).
