YOU DID YOUR INTERNSHIP AT THE DUTCH AGENCY NEEW. WHAT DID YOUR WORK CONSIST OF?

Throughout my internship I have been involved in all kinds of work. For my UX/UI skills I have worked on web projects. For my Graphic Design and Branding skills, in merchandising projects for their own visual identity, mockups and other visual works.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS COMPANY?

Not only because I wanted to have an international experience, but also because Neew’s work caught my attention. Through their website I found that they are very creative and show good visual quality. And I really wanted to work on this type of project.

WHAT HAVE BEEN YOUR MAIN FUNCTIONS?

My main role as Visual Communication Designer at Neew has been to participate in the company’s UX/UI projects.

HOW HAS YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE TEAM BEEN?

Although having the experience of working in real life is something you can’t get inside the school, replicating the work environment has been a great help. During our classes, we’ve done real-time projects that have helped me understand how an agency works. When you enter the working world, you need to adapt to the situation quickly. Because if you fall behind on a project, it has an effect on the work of other departments.

HOW IS YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE TEAM?

The truth is that I’ve been very lucky. The Neew team is very nice and friendly. And the most important thing: they encourage you to express your opinion. And that helps you grow as a professional.

OF WHAT YOU HAVE LEARNED AT THE SCHOOL, WHAT DO YOU THINK HAS BEEN USEFUL TO YOU DURING YOUR INTERNSHIP?

What I have used the most during these months has been what I have learned in the UX/UI class.

HOW WOULD YOU RATE YOUR FIRST PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE?

My experience at Neew has been very pleasant, both from a professional and personal point of view.

AFTER THIS INTERNSHIP, WHERE WOULD YOU LIKE TO DIRECT YOUR PROFESSIONAL FUTURE?

With this experience I have realized that UX/UI is my thing. I really enjoy doing user experience or user interface projects, time flies as I work on new forms of user-centered design!
