More than 40 guests and top-level speakers will give 14 Master Classes, talks, workshops and 12 producers will participate in a recruitment and professional networking session.

Masterclass: Signe Vinther
L’Idem Barcelona sponsors the Masterclass of Signe Vinther, VFX Producer and Artist Manager who will talk about his career in companies such as Ghost VFX, having been part of such outstanding projects as Rogue One : A Star Wars Story: The Last Jedi; StarTrek, Black Panther or the television series The Walking Dead.
Online presentations with professors from L’Idem Barcelona
The teachers of L’Idem Barcelona will give different presentations online. On the one hand, Antonio Santamaría will carry out the Storyboard-Screen Direction in Filmmaking workshop. In this online workshop we will analyze how to treat the realization of a storyboard to get the characters to move in a coherent and meaningful way from the point of view of the audience:
- Screen direction in western narrative versus eastern narrative.
- Direction from idea to a place versus direction back from that same place (camera left vs camera right).
- Relation to the axis jump and the 180º rule.
- How to change the screen address in sequence.
- Progression of character’s on-screen position to create visual dynamism within on-screen direction.

On the other hand, our professor Eduardo Morales, will offer the online workshop Marmoset: Preparing a Real-Time portfolio. This online presentation will offer a small demonstration of how to use the basic tools of Marmoset Toolbag, a Real-Time rendering engine widely used in the gaming industry to showcase portfolios. Eduardo will review some basic concepts and prepare a finished work to present on portfolio platforms such as Artstation, for example.

L’Idem seeks talents who want to develop their professional career within Creative Digital Arts. We award more than €10,000 in 2 scholarships to study 2D-3D Animation/Videogames and 2 scholarships for International Digital Design.
You can apply for the scholarships before June 31. They will only be applied in the first year of study and will not be cumulative. A first class festival
Animayo is the first and only festival in Spain awarded as a ‘Qualifying Festival’ by the Hollywood Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for the Oscars in the category of best animated short film. In addition, this year a total of 705 works from countries such as France, Taiwan, Spain, Mexico, India, China, Poland, Turkey, Indonesia, Hungary, the United States or Germany have been submitted to the contest.
