And the first will be Bluth Fables, a set of “short stories similar to Aesop’s nursery rhymes and fables” written by Bluth himself. The studio has appointed animator Lavalle Lee, who began studying with Bluth in 2009, as vice president. He is the person behind several blogs and websites focused on the world of Animation. Among others, Traditional Animation, an excellent blog specializing in hand-drawn animation. He was also a Project Manager at Bluth’s previous company, Don Bluth Films. In charge of him he helped spearhead a crowdfunding campaign for an adaptation of ‘Dragon’s Lair,’ a 1980s game franchise co-created by Bluth. The campaign resulted in a launch presentation in 2017 and, last March, it was revealed that Netflix had acquired the rights to the game for which it is developing a live action series.
