‘Mocca’ and ‘The Sun Thief’ selected at the Mecal BCN Festival

The short films Mocca and The sun Thief of our students of the 2021-22 promotion have been selected to participate in Plançó, the contest for animation pieces from Catalan centers. This section is included within the MECAL Bcn, the Barcelona International Short Film and Animation Festival that this year celebrates its 25th edition.

Plançó, a professional meeting point

Within the Mecal Festival, Plançó becomes a meeting point between students and professionals where animation pieces made by students from Catalan universities and schools enter a competition.

In this section, the finalist pieces will be screened and the public will vote for the winning short film. Later, there will be a networking session between students and animation professionals. The prize for the winners will be a student accreditation for the MIFA market (Marché International du Film d’Animation d’Annecy).

The screening will be on Friday June 30 at 8:00 p.m. at the Voraport hotel.
