The short film The Sun Thief, prepared by the students of the 2D/3D Animation and Video Games major, class 2021-22, has been chosen to be included in the Weird Talent section that is included in the 15th edition of the Festival Weird Market which is held in Valencia from September 26 to October 1.
This year, the Weird Market Festival includes a total of 170 national and international projects (19 feature films, 38 shorts, 18 series, 37 video games, 24 webseries, 6 transmedia projects, 9 comics and 14 board games) that can be seen at the Filmoteca From Valencia.
New section: Weird Talent
The Sun Thief will be included in the new section offered by the festival called: Weird Talent. A non-competitive screening made up of national short films that are part of the market and whose directors must be taken into consideration by the organizers. A total of 7 works, among which are new authors, students and filmmakers with a proven teaching career.
What is the Weird Market Festival?
The Weird Market Festival is the most important International and professional Market for Animation, Video Games and New Media held in Spanish territory and one of the most important in Europe. Apart from the productions, the festival also has a recruitment day that encourages job creation and contact with companies and professionals. Among the companies attending this year there will be the presence of 3 Doubles Producciones, Admirable Films, Hampa Studio, Aupa Studio strong>, TV ON Producciones, Wise Blue Studios, El Ranchito, The Glow Animation Studio, Blu Studio, Illusorium, Alba Sotorra and Kimchi Studio.
