The animated short film Venus Flytrap, prepared by the students of L’Idem Barcelona from the 2016-2017 class, has been selected to participate in the 16th edition of the Festival Meu Primer Festival. From November 4 to 19, family audiences will fill the theaters in Barcelona and Madrid to watch a selection of feature films, short films and activities aimed at the little ones.
The Meu Primer Festival is the international children’s and primary school film festival, a fun and educational experience to discover the most creative and unique cinema for an audience between 2 and 12 years old.
The First Festival
In this 16th edition of Mi Primer Festival we want to pay tribute to the animation studio Aardman, responsible for the iconic episode “The Wrong Trousers” of Wallace and Gromit, winner of an Oscar for best animated short 30 years ago .
In addition, the festival hosts a selection of 102 films from around twenty countries. Also, there will be 55 school screenings and 47 aimed at educational centers.
The short film Venus Flytrap
Venus Flytrap is a short film made by the students of 2D/3D Animation and Video Games, specifically in the specialty in 3D Animation. The plot focuses on a couple of astronauts who land on a planet and look for some trace of life on it. But you will have a surprise in your exploration!
