Barcelona Design Week ’21: We inaugurate L’Idem Talks

Diseño

What is the role of design today? Where will it evolve? What challenges will it propose to creative professionals? Coinciding with the 10th anniversary of L’Idem Barcelona and within the framework of Barcelona Design Week 2021, we inaugurate L’Idem Talks. Some talks and masterclasses in which professionals from different design disciplines -UX/UI, Motion Design, Packaging, DesignThinking or Art Direction- will share their experiences and debate trends and future proposals.

The L’Idem Talks program for Barcelona Design Week 2021 presents the following talks and workshops:

Apply a UX approach in the conceptualization of ideas

Tuesday, October 26, 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Ana Vera is a UX/UI professor from L’Idem Barcelona and UX Design Lead in the R&D department of Axesor Group.

In this workshop you will teach how to conceptualize and ideate with a UX (User Experience) approach with the aim of providing solutions to current problems from a design culture.
As a work methodology, you will propose design tools and the user experience such as Design Thinking, Design Sprint, or UX Lean, among others. These techniques allow the generation of ideas in an agile manner and oriented to the specific needs of the final recipient.

Tuesday, October 26, 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Admission: €12
* L’Idem students and graduates have free tickets to these activities.

Keys to designing a logo

Wednesday, October 27, 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Guido del Solar is a professor of creativity at L’Idem Barcelona and founder by SUAVE BARCELONA Design Studio. In this workshop he will reveal the keys to designing a logo through a practical case. Participants will conceptualize, sketch and execute a logo that reflects the essence of a brand.

In this way they will learn how to start a project from scratch, addressing each of the phases it has:

  • Brainstorming to define a concept, sketch ideas and give them shape.
  • Logo design with Adobe Illustrator software and work on typography, composition and color.
  • Applications to different media and presentation of the logo through mockups.

In addition, they will receive graphic resources (fonts, templates, mockups, references), which they can use to develop the workshop as well as in future professional projects.

Wednesday, October 27, 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Admission: €12
* L’Idem students and graduates have free tickets to these activities.

The relevance of design in contemporary marketing

Thursday, October 28, 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Danilo Cascino is director of strategy and innovation at TBWA Spain. He has 20 years of experience in marketing and communications, designing omnichannel brand experiences for clients such as Nissan, Lidl, DKV, Bimbo, SEAT, Procter & Gamble.

A true technological Big Bang has exploded the media ecosystem, creating a universe of content, platforms and audiences that continues to expand. In this context, brands become experiences. Knowing how to empathically and holistically orchestrate the opportunities for connection through which they come to life requires a new mindset: a design mindset.

Thursday, October 28, 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Admission: €12
* L’Idem students and graduates have free tickets to these activities.
