Chilean animation filmmaker who has participated in dozens of Japanese animation projects. His solid command of the practical and theoretical principles of animation has allowed him to build a bridge between Western animation and Japanese animation, revealing the subtleties that make each style unique.
He has frequently worked for the biggest anime studios in Japan, such as Mappa, Toei, Pierrot, WIT and Cloverworks, among many others.
Jorge was the first Chilean in the Japanese animation industry, and recently became the first Latin American animator to direct anime for Japan with the short films “Shark’d” for Gawr Gura (Hololive) and “Wanderer” for Ren Zotto (Nijisanji). He currently writes and directs animation projects for companies such as Cover-Corp, ANYCOLOR and Tonari Animation.
