She joined MADHOUSE in 2004 and made her directorial debut in the music video for NHK Minna no Uta’s “Tsuki no Waltz”.
She directed her first TV series in “Sakura-sou no Pet na Kanojo”. Since then, she has actively directed TV series such as “No Game No Life” and “Hanayamata”. In 2018, she directed the all-original TV series “Sora yori mo Tooi Basho” and received high ratings both in Japan and abroad.
In 2022, her first original film, “Goodbye, Don Greese!”, premiered at several film festivals and received several awards.
