The old Ideal cinemas in Barcelona, located in Poblenou neighbourhood, have been converted into IDEAL Digital Arts Center, the first center in southern Europe dedicated to the production and exhibition of digital arts. Through immersive experiences for all audiences, IDEAL Digital Arts Center seeks to create a new relationship between art and the viewer. Audiovisual projections, augmented reality, virtual reality and holography will be the main protagonists of this new space. And IDEAL will combinate art, technology and science to create new audiovisual proposals for all audiences. IDEAL is a project created by Layers of Reality, Minoria Absoluta and Magma Cultura, and directed by Jordi Sellas.
MONET: THE IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE
The exhibition that opens this new creative space is “Monet, the master of light.” A tribute to the painter which offers a tour of his life and his most representative works. The exhibition tries to explain the particular pictorial technique of the French artist, by means of large-format projections in high definition. It will be open to the public until December 8.
