The students in Audiovisual & Film Design from Barcelona visited the sound studio Soundcrash by Kiku Vidal
Last Friday, our students visited in Canet de Mar the only sound studio for Voice Foley in Spain. This type of voice recording allows to introduce in the process of post-production the reenactment of sounds which, occasionally, aren’t captured in the recording or which need a narrative purpose.
In the Soundcrash studio, this type of effects have been used in films like Rec, El Orfanato, Torrente 4 and many more. Kiku explained our students the kind of work he realized by giving practical examples and by showing his work on a TV Movie which was produced in his studio. By having witnessed all this, our students are now up to date about the importance of a Voice Foley artist in the process of film making nowadays. They enjoyed listening to an experienced “noise artist” like Kiku Vidal.
