L’Idem collaborates with Ojalá Projects and the Museu del Disseny in Barcelona

Diseño

L’Idem inaugurates its collaboration with Ojalá Projects and the Museu del Disseny in Barcelona in a newly created project. It is called ‘Disseny per a la inclusió. El procés com a resultat’.  A learning and co-creation proposal in which students from different design schools and groups in vulnerable situations will participate. The aim of the project is to generate contexts for interaction, awareness and reflection on design as a tool for social transformation.

Projects like this one make visible “the value of design as an element of transformation”, said Pablo García. For L’Idem’s Design coordinator, this collaboration reflects a double educational objective. On the one hand, our school’s desire to “create synergies within the design sector”. And to collaborate with the different agents that interact in the design ecosystem: public and educational institutions and social entities. And, on the other hand, it links us to Barcelona and the “problems that the city is currently facing”.

Communication campaign for TEB Barceloneta

Second year Digital Design students will work on a graphic design project with the association TEB Barceloneta. This will consist of the creation of a neighbourhood communication campaign that seeks to give a voice to people with intellectual diversity. The graphic designer David Torrents and the illustrator Jacqueline Molnár will be the coordinators of this project, which is part of the experiment ‘Disseny per a la inclusió. El procés com a resultat’.

Founded in 1974, TEB/Barceloneta is an occupation centre that works with a group of functionally diverse people from the Barceloneta neighbourhood and their families. It is part of the TEB cooperative, an association that currently has over 650 users.
