For the second consecutive year, L’Idem Creative Arts School is once again participating in the 24th edition of the SGAE Nueva Autoría Awards. The short film, Burned Out, made by students of the 2022-23 promotion in the specialization in 2D/3D Animation and Video Games, is the one chosen to be screened on Saturday, October 5 at the Prado Cinema in collaboration with the Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival.

The SGAE Foundation has been promoting emerging talent and disseminating talent emerging from Catalan universities and film centers for years.
Burned Out will compete in the categories of Best Direction-Production, Original Screenplay and Original Music. The screening and awards ceremony will take place on Saturday 5 October at the Cinema Prado, within the framework of the Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival.
In addition, the winners in the different categories will be announced at the Cañateca space. This year, the jury is made up of Jaume Balagueró, director and screenwriter; Aina Clotet, director, screenwriter and actress, and Francesc Gener, film and television composer.
At the event, all the selected works from the new productions made by students from universities and film schools in Catalonia (fiction, animation and documentaries) will be screened.
By organizing these awards, SGAE and Fundación SGAE, with the complicity of the Sitges Festival, aim to discover, promote and help spread new creations in fiction, animation and documentary film.
