April 21: World Creativity Day

What is creativity? For some, it is a dynamic process that establishes new connections between existing ideas. For others, it is the ability to create new concepts and ideas and to come up with new and original solutions to problems or situations. And, for some people, it is also the engine of personal development. 21 April is World Creativity and Innovation Day. A date to promote multidisciplinary creative thinking.

On this special day, we asked Frederic Kauffmann, CEO of the Piece of Cake agency and collaborator of our Design teaching team, for his TOP 3 creative agencies of the moment.

BETC PARIS

Founded in 1995 by Rémi Babinet and Eric Tong Cuong, it is one of the world’s leading creative agencies. It is based in Paris, London and Sao Paulo.

Since its creation, they have been involved in a wide range of creative work, ranging from traditional advertising to the creation of corporate values for companies. Their clients include Air France, Lacoste, Canal + and Evian, among others.

Over the years they have been distinguished with various awards such as:

  • 2012: Film Craft Award at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity for the spot “The Bear” for Canal +
    2012: Agency of the Year Award by the New York Art Director’s Club
    2019: International Agency of the Year Award by Adweek
    2020: Film Craft Award at the Festival of Creativity Cannes Lions for the spot “Crocodile Inside” for Lacoste

Founded by David Droga in 2006, it was considered one of the most relevant independent agencies in the sector until the large corporation Accenture Interactive acquired it in 2019. Among its most significant clients we find names such as Mailchimp, Unicef, Under Armour, Android or HBO.
